President Rodrigo Paz announced the creation of a new Alto Comisionado for Institutional Integrity and Justice, tasked with coordinating anti‑corruption policies and judicial reform. The office will act as the President’s representative to the judiciary, public ministry and other state bodies.

His government also reduced the size of the executive, cutting the number of ministries to twelve, eliminating the ministries of Planning and Sustainable Tourism, Culture, Folklore and Gastronomy. The reform is presented as a step toward a more efficient, less bureaucratic state.

Paz promoted the 50/50 agenda, a decentralisation plan that aims to shift fiscal capacity to regional governments, strengthen municipalities and governorships, and launch strategic projects in departments such as San Ignacio de Velasco and cross‑border road links with Brazil and Peru.

A revised budget cuts current spending by more than 23,500 million bolivianos, redirecting resources to health, education, municipalities and governorships. In a six‑point roadmap presented on the national holiday, Paz also announced a draft Investment Law, new hydrocarbon and mining frameworks, and funding for the Viru Viru international hub. The military parade commemorated 201 years of the Bolivian armed forces, with Paz acting as Captain General.
