Bolivia revokes house arrest for Tatiana Marset

Bolivian authorities have revoked the house arrest of Tatiana Marset, sister of Uruguayan national Sebastián Marset. Following a police report citing breaches of her detention conditions—including photographic evidence and location data—the judiciary ordered her return to Palmasola prison once she is discharged from the private clinic where she is currently recovering from surgery.

Separately, Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz has reported threats against his family, attributing the danger to government actions against high-level criminal organizations, specifically following the capture of Sebastián Marset in March. The Minister of Government, Marco Antonio Oviedo, confirmed that these threats are currently under investigation. The political tension follows the recent dismissal and imprisonment of former Attorney General Roger Mariaca, who was accused of leading a criminal organization to protect narco-terrorism.
