Bolivia suspends transport tariff negotiations until Tuesday

Dialogue between the Bolivian government and transport leaders regarding interdepartmental service tariffs has been suspended until Tuesday. The Ministry of Public Works and the Autoridad de Regulación y Fiscalización de Telecomunicaciones y Transportes (ATT) are seeking to establish a transitional fare to provide certainty for both users and operators.

Lucio Gómez, leader of the Chóferes de Bolivia, stated that a commission representing all departmental federations is working to produce a technical summary to determine these temporary rates. The goal is to analyze specific factors causing disagreements to reach an agreement while a more comprehensive technical study on operating costs is conducted.
