Bolivian authorities rescue three American tourists in Potosí

Bolivian authorities successfully rescued three American tourists who became stranded near Laguna Colorada in the Potosí region. The group was trapped due to mechanical failures in their vehicle compounded by intense snowfall at an altitude of 4,278 meters.

The rescue operation was conducted by the Uyuni Provincial Command and a specialized firefighting unit from Potosí. All three tourists were reported to be in good health following the operation. Authorities have advised travelers and tour operators to verify vehicle conditions and monitor weather reports closely when traveling in the high-altitude areas near the Eduardo Abaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve.
