Bolivian government emphasizes mining and industrial sectors for economic growth

Bolivian President's Minister, Fernando Aramayo, highlighted the mining sector as a primary driver for the country's economic reactivation. Speaking at the 63rd anniversary of the Regional Federation of Gold Mining Cooperatives (Ferreco), Aramayo noted that the sector involves approximately 80,000 affiliates and 320,000 people. He pointed out the significant growth potential for Bolivian mining, comparing its export figures of $6 billion to $6.3 billion against much higher totals from regional neighbors like Chile and Peru.

In a separate development, industrial company Embol hosted officials from the Vice Ministry of Sustainable Industrialization Policies and Handicrafts at its Santa Cruz plant. During the visit, Vice Minister Gustavo Jáuregui and Director Edwin Gonzales reviewed the company's production processes and technological capabilities. The government expressed support for private investment, stating that industrial operations are essential for job creation and national economic dynamism.
