Bolivia's ANH disables 300 vehicles over fuel-loading violations

The National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH) in Bolivia identified more than 300 vehicle plates that repeatedly loaded fuel irregularly at service stations in La Paz and El Alto. The agency temporarily suspended those plates until owners provide justification, director Enriqueta García said the B‑SISA system allows detection of repeat loading and that the measures aim to reduce queueing at pumps.

In a related operation near Sucre, ANH, police and the public prosecutor seized about 2,050 litres of gasoline and cash worth 85,800 bolivianos. A 32‑year‑old man was arrested after offering a bribe to a police officer, which was refused. The agency reported that, year‑to‑date, plates of 205 vehicles have been blocked for irregular fuel loading across the country.
