Bolivia's El Alto Prepares Free Military Parade with Air and Vehicle Displays

The Bolivian Armed Forces are finalising arrangements for a public military parade scheduled for Friday, 7 August in the city of El Alto. The event, organised by the Primera Brigada Aérea, will be free to attend and will feature aerial demonstrations, parachute jumps, free‑fall displays and a showcase of fire‑fighting technology. Rector of the Military University William Ricardo Funes confirmed that aircraft, specialised vehicles and the army’s motor pool will be exhibited, a display that was previously limited by space constraints. The central venue will be the Military Air Transport gate near the Héroes de Octubre Coliseum on Avenida Juan Pablo II, chosen to avoid road closures after weeks of nationwide blockades.

The programme aims to highlight the operational capabilities of the forces and to foster public confidence in national security and defence. Organisers have stressed that regular security duties will continue uninterrupted while units from across the country converge for the exhibition.
