Bollnäs water network upgrades show results after 25 years

Marina Nilsson, Chairperson of Helsingevatten AB, has defended the long-term management of the water and sewage network in Bollnäs. She noted that the municipality has been systematically upgrading old pipes and infrastructure for over 25 years.

Nilsson stated that Bollnäs maintains a low leakage rate compared to many other municipal networks. To further improve monitoring, all customers in both Bollnäs and Ovanåker will receive digital water meters next year, allowing for better consumption tracking and faster detection of deviations.
