Bologna: 19-year-old faces fines after electric bike chase

A 19-year-old man faces a criminal complaint and approximately 1,400 euros in fines following a high-speed chase through the streets of Bologna. The incident began when the individual ignored a stop order from the Local Police in via dei Mille.

The pursuit involved the cyclist traveling at high speeds through various central areas, including Piazza dei Martiri and via Don Minzoni. During the chase, the individual rode on sidewalks and maneuvered around pedestrians. Despite falling after an attempt to reverse direction near the MAMbo museum, the cyclist continued the flight through viale Pietramellara and via Zanardi before being intercepted by police near the intersection of via Cipriani and via Zanardi.

As a result of the incident, the electric bicycle has been seized.
