Bologna community initiatives link sports with social support and research

In Bologna, various organizations are utilizing sporting events to drive social and scientific contributions. Fortitudo Bologna and Macron have partnered with the Bimbo Tu Association to support children and adolescents with central nervous system pathologies. During a recent home game at PalaDozza, the entities presented a 4,000 euro check to the association, an initiative stemming from the sale of special game kits.

Additionally, the Bologna City Run has opened registrations for its 2027 edition. This event, supported by Emil Banca and the University of Bologna, aims to fund the ‘Move2Health’ project. The initiative, which won the ‘Nuove Generazioni’ tender, seeks to reinvest proceeds from the run into research and community well-being, strengthening the connection between the university and the local territory.
