Bologna court suspends temporary management transfer of Nettuno Sport Center

The TAR (Regional Administrative Court) for Emilia-Romagna has suspended a resolution by the Municipality of Bologna that sought to temporarily transfer the management of the Nettuno Sport Center to a different operator for four months.

The legal dispute stems from the municipality's decision in October 2025 to terminate the existing concession contract with the Nettuno Sport Center, citing alleged failures to comply with obligations. While the court has blocked the temporary handover, the underlying litigation regarding the original contract termination remains unresolved.

The Nettuno Sport Center has contested the municipality's decision, arguing that the move constitutes a loss of control over the facility despite significant investments already made by the company. Additionally, the center has challenged the municipality's plan to allocate 270,000 euros for field maintenance and the purchase of pressurized balls, claiming the equipment has already been purchased by the center but was not authorized for installation. Local citizens have also mobilized, collecting over 1,200 signatures to support the continuity of the facility's current operations.
