Bologna FC appoints Raffaele Palladino as head coach

Bologna FC has dismissed head coach Domenico Tedesco following a poor start to the Serie A season. After just four matches, the club secured only one point, leaving them in 16th place. CEO Claudio Fenucci stated the decision was technical, noting that the team struggled to implement Tedesco’s methodologies and that the club felt a need to act before the international break.

Raffaele Palladino has been appointed as the new manager, signing a contract that runs until June 30, 2029. Palladino, who previously coached Atalanta and Fiorentina, expressed ambition to return the club to European competition. He intends to implement a tactical shift, potentially utilizing a three-man defense.

Palladino’s first match in charge will be a home fixture against Torino at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara. The squad list for the upcoming match includes several returning players, such as Riccardo Orsolini and Oussama El Azzouzi, following recent injury concerns.
