Bologna FC blocks Everton's €35 million bid for Jonathan Rowe

Everton offered Bologna a €35 million transfer fee for English winger Jonathan Rowe, but the club, led by coach Domenico Tedesco, issued a firm rejection. The offer was deemed far below the market value the club expects for the player, and Tedesco stated that Rowe would only leave in an “exceptional” situation that allowed Bologna to reinvest the proceeds.

Bologna’s decision follows recent financial moves, including the sale of Argentine forward Santiago Castro for €35 million and the planned departure of defender Jhon Lucumí for around €25 million. Retaining Rowe is seen as crucial for the team’s push for European competition, and the player has expressed a desire to return to the Premier League only if a suitable offer materialises.
