Bologna FC undergoes squad transition under Domenico Tedesco

Bologna FC is undergoing a significant transition under new manager Domenico Tedesco following a period of squad restructuring. The club is currently managing the aftermath of several key departures, including Castro, Lucumie, and Freuler, which has impacted the team's depth and performance in recent matches.

On the transfer front, Thijs Dallinga has moved to Bundesliga club Cologne on a loan deal with an option to buy. To finalize the squad for the upcoming season, the club still needs to offload additional players to manage the wage bill and clear space. Specifically, Jesper Karlsson and either Nicolò Casale or Elvin Helland are identified as players likely to depart. The club's management aims to use remaining transfer funds to strengthen the midfield and defense to support Tedesco's new tactical approach.
