Bologna Jazz Festival features Emiliano Pintori and Chico Pinheiro

The Bologna Jazz Festival continues its 2026 season with diverse international performances across Italy. On October 23, the Camera Jazz & Music Club in Bologna will host the Emiliano Pintori quintet featuring Carlo Atti. Their project, ‘Viva Gato!’, pays tribute to the influential Argentine saxophonist Gato Barbieri, blending American jazz with South American musical traditions.

On October 24, the festival brings Brazilian guitarist and composer Chico Pinheiro to Ferrara and Bologna. Pinheiro, a prominent figure in modern Brazilian jazz, will perform at the Torrione Jazz Club in Ferrara followed by a performance at the Camera Jazz & Music Club in Bologna. The evening also features the Rodney Whitaker Quartet, led by the renowned American jazz bassist and Michigan State University professor.
