Bologna launches fifth edition of itinerant cinema festival

The City of Bologna is renewing its itinerant cinema festival, ‘SI GIRA!’, for its fifth edition in 2026. Following the conclusion of programming in Piazza Maggiore, the event will move to various neighborhood arenas starting after the Ferragosto holiday.

From August 18 to September 6, the festival will offer 18 free screenings held at 21:00. Curated by the Cineteca di Bologna, the tour will traverse the Porto-Saragozza and Santo Stefano districts, utilizing public spaces and gardens such as the Giardino del Velodromo, Lunetta Gamberini, and Giardino delle Popolarissime to foster community connection and culture.
