Bologna FC dismisses Domenico Tedesco, appoints Raffaele Palladino
Bologna FC 1909 has dismissed head coach Domenico Tedesco following a poor start to the Serie A season. After just four matches, the team secured only one point, recording three losses against Lazio, Atalanta, and Napoli, and one draw against Sassuolo.
Tedesco, who joined the club in the summer, expressed disappointment regarding his departure, stating, “I am very sorry, but it is football.” Reports indicate that internal concerns regarding the team's offensive struggles and Tedesco's disciplinary issues, including a recent red card and fine, may have influenced the decision.
In his place, the club has appointed Raffaele Palladino. The 42-year-old coach, who previously managed Monza, Fiorentina, and Atalanta, has signed a contract through June 30, 2029. Palladino is expected to make his debut immediately in the upcoming match against Torino.
