Bologna officials address security concerns and council hearings
Bologna officials are addressing security and administrative concerns through various local government actions. A public order committee is scheduled to meet at the Prefecture on Monday to discuss the 'Bolognina case' following recent violent incidents in the Navile area, including two assaults involving a robbery and a stabbing. Mayor Matteo Lepore and Security Councilor Matilde Madrid recently visited merchants at Mercato Albani to gather resident and business concerns regarding drug dealing and nighttime disturbances.
Separately, the Bologna City Council has scheduled three commission meetings for Wednesday, September 9. These include a hearing on the management of the Bologna Tecnopolo, a joint session regarding the use of public space in Giardini Margherita, and a discussion on intersectionality and rights politics.
