Bologna police intervene after group found bivouacking in Piazza San Francesco
Local police in Bologna identified three individuals bivouacking in Piazza San Francesco on a Friday morning. The group included a 24-year-old mother, her 4-year-old daughter, and a 26-year-old man.
Emergency medical services reported that the mother appeared to be in a state of confusion with significant motor difficulties. She sustained cuts and scratches, including a glass fragment embedded in her foot, and was transported to the Maggiore Hospital emergency room after suffering a sudden illness. Her daughter was also escorted to the hospital.
The municipality has initiated checks through social services to ensure the protection of the minor. The 26-year-old man, who lacked identification and a residence permit, was taken to the local police headquarters. During a search, authorities found a small quantity of hashish in his possession.
