Bologna residents demand anti-glass and anti-alcohol measures
Residents and business owners in the Bolognina district of Bologna are calling on local authorities to implement urgent security measures to combat rising crime and drug trafficking. Organized primarily through local committees, the groups are requesting the adoption of an anti-glass ordinance and anti-alcohol regulations. They argue that glass bottles are being used as weapons by violent individuals, particularly those under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
In addition to these ordinances, community members are demanding a permanent nightly police patrol to monitor areas they describe as “no man’s land.” The Bolognina Storica Committee has previously reported suspicious activities involving certain shops and public establishments allegedly complicit in drug dealing along via Nicolò dall’Arca. Residents are seeking decisive and rapid interventions from the municipal administration to address the ongoing issues of drug dealing and criminality in the area.
