Bologna schools grapple with listing errors and early summer enrollment
In the Bologna region, teachers have reported that some school vacancies do not appear in the official lists published by the Regional and Provincial School Offices. The omission is attributed to clerical oversights or technical glitches in the SIDI system, which can incorrectly mark a position as already filled, preventing invitations to candidates. Affected teachers are advised to continuously monitor the USP sites, file formal notifications to the offices, request access to data, and seek union support to obtain corrections.
Separately, the municipal education authority announced that elementary schools will open for a summer programme from late August to mid‑September. Registrations for the pilot project must be submitted by 10 July, with a maximum capacity of about 2,000 children. Schools are being asked to confirm the availability of classrooms and staff, and an external agency will assist in managing the centres, which are expected to operate without a competitive tender as the budget per site stays below €150,000.
