Bologna signs Irish striker Cillian Tollett from Galway United

Italian club Bologna has finalized the permanent signing of Irish striker Cillian Tollett from Galway United. The 2008-born player will join Bologna’s Primavera squad to continue his development.

Tollett, who stands 1.85 meters tall, gained significant attention following a successful loan spell at Athlone Town in the Irish second division. During his time there, he demonstrated high scoring efficiency, including goals in the FAI Cup, which helped him attract interest from several European clubs.

A product of the Galway United academy, Tollett has represented Ireland at various youth levels, including the Under-15, Under-16, Under-17, and Under-19 squads. Bologna views the transfer as a strategic investment in a high-potential talent for their youth system.
