Bologna signs Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbyk on loan from Roma

Bologna FC 1909 announced that it has acquired the sporting rights of Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk from AS Roma on a temporary basis until 30 June 2027, with an option to make the transfer permanent. The club highlighted that Dovbyk becomes the first Ukrainian to play for Bologna.

Born in 1997, Dovbyk began his career at Dnipro‑1 before moving abroad, notably helping Girona secure a Champions League qualifying spot in 2023‑24 and finishing that season as the league’s top scorer with 24 goals. He joined Roma the following summer, scoring 17 goals across all competitions in his debut season before an injury curtailed his output in 2025‑26. His move to Bologna is described as a key step in his career, offering continuity and goal‑scoring strength to the Rossoblù attack.
