Bologna's Teatro Duse launches 2026‑27 drama season as Saludecio hosts Nero Notte theatre festival

The Teatro Duse in Bologna unveiled its 2026‑27 prose season, presenting 14 productions that reinterpret classic archetypes such as Falstaff, Ulisse, Romeo and Juliet alongside contemporary references to figures like Vladimir Putin and the anarchist Pinelli. The program features a roster of actors including Emilio Solfrizzi, Stefano Massini, Lodo Guenzi, Marisa Laurito and Paolo Rossi, with direction by Giorgio Gallione, Guglielmo Ferro and others. Outside the regular subscription, performances will include Ambra Angiolini, the Slava Snowshow, International Classical Ballet and concerts by Max Gazzè, Malika Ayane, Vinicio Capossela and the Orchestra Senzaspine.

In the town of Saludecio, the 21st edition of the Nero Notte Teatro takes place on 1‑2 August at Castello di Meleto. Titled “Le notti dei pensieri silenziosi. Chiaroscuri dell’anima,” the event blends theatre, dance and music with contributions from Armonda, Aulos Danza Rimini, Sildance and local artists such as director Marilena Salvatore and choreographer Veronica Bagnolini.
