It is essential to keep the Cadastro Único (CadÚnico) updated every two years or whenever significant changes occur in household composition, income, or address. Failure to meet program conditionalities—such as school attendance for those aged 4 to 18 and mandatory vaccination schedules—can lead to the suspension or cancellation of benefits.

This includes automated cross-referencing between CadÚnico and other databases to ensure resources reach eligible citizens. Families whose benefits have been canceled due to inconsistencies have up to 180 days to request a reversal through the Centro de Referência de Assistência Social (CRAS).
