Bolsa Mexicana de Valores and Wall Street close higher

The Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV) and Wall Street indices closed higher on Friday, September 25, 2026, driven by reduced global risk aversion following a decline in oil prices.

In Mexico, the Índice de Precios y Cotizaciones (IPC) rose 1.13% to 64,992.23 points. This performance marked a weekly rebound of 2.55%, breaking a four-week losing streak and representing the market's best cumulative performance since the second week of June. Notable gainers in the Mexican market included Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro, Grupo Carso, Volaris, and Grupo México. Alsea also saw significant gains.

Wall Street indices also finished in the green. The S&P 500 advanced 0.51% to 7,743.41, the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.48% to 27,068.72, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.93% to 51,828.62. All three major U.S. indices recorded weekly gains, supported by optimism in the technology sector.
