Bolt and Kenyan authorities hold road safety workshop in Nairobi
Bolt, the Nairobi City County Government, and the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) conducted a joint safety and compliance workshop for ride-hailing motorbike and vehicle drivers in Nairobi on October 22, 2026.
The initiative aims to address high road traffic fatality rates in Nairobi, Kiambu, and Nakuru. NTSA officials used the session to highlight dangerous behaviors such as speeding, distracted driving, driver fatigue, and unsafe lane-splitting. Nairobi City County’s Mobility Department provided guidance on local transport by-laws, parking rules, and traffic management requirements.
Emergency response provider RESCUE. CO demonstrated its assistance platform, while Bolt presented its in-app safety features, including Emergency Assist and Trip Anomaly Detection. Participating drivers signed a formal pledge to obey traffic regulations and commit to safer conduct on the city's roads.
