Bolt enters autonomous vehicle market with Stellantis and Pony.ai

Bolt, the European mobility platform, has partnered with Pony.ai and Stellantis to launch an autonomous mobility pilot program in Luxembourg. This initiative marks Bolt’s entry into the robotaxi market.

The project will utilize Stellantis medium vans built on the L4-Ready platform, integrated with Pony.ai’s seventh-generation autonomous driving technology. The pilot aims to test how these vehicles navigate real-world urban environments, including traffic lights, pedestrians, and roundabouts. Luxembourg was selected due to its favorable regulatory environment for level 4 autonomous testing.

Under the partnership, Bolt will provide the mobile application and market expertise for user requests, Stellantis will supply the vehicles, and Pony.ai will provide the autonomous driving software.
