Bolt integrates ride-hailing services with ChatGPT

Bolt has announced a global integration with ChatGPT, allowing users to request rides directly through the AI assistant. This rollout includes markets across the European Union, the United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan.

Through a plugin integration, ChatGPT users can view estimated trip prices, compare route options, check driver arrival times, and coordinate pickup locations. While the service simplifies trip planning within a single conversational interface, users are currently redirected back to the Bolt app to complete payments. Bolt plans to enable direct payments within ChatGPT later this year.

Kimberly Hurd, Bolt’s Senior General Manager for the UK and Ireland, noted that the move responds to increasing consumer habits of organizing life through AI interactions. The integration aims to streamline urban mobility by providing real-time information such as optimal departure times and traffic updates during major events.
