Bolt suspends driver in Bangkok over unsettling vehicle decorations

Bolt has temporarily suspended a driver in Bangkok following a passenger's complaint regarding an unusually decorated vehicle. The passenger reported that the car's front headrests featured pale, ghostly human-face designs with wide-open eyes, which she described as a “nightmare” experience.

In addition to the unsettling interior decorations, photos shared by the passenger on social media indicated that the vehicle was in poor condition, with several body panels missing from the rear. The passenger expressed concerns regarding the safety and comfort of the ride, particularly for women or children traveling at night.

Bolt confirmed it is investigating whether the vehicle meets the company's safety and roadworthiness requirements. The company stated that the driver is prohibited from using the platform until the investigation is complete and expressed regret for the distress caused to the passenger.
