Boltenhagen hosts 2026 community holiday week as visitor demand drives higher beach prices
The Apostolic Church community in Kiel has scheduled a week‑long holiday at the Baltic seaside resort Boltenhagen from 28 March to 2 April 2026. The program includes walks on the beach, worship services, singing, a climbing park, swimming, campfires and group discussions, with afternoons and evenings left free for personal activities.
Boltenhagen, the second‑oldest Baltic sea resort in Mecklenburg, attracts visitors with its five‑kilometre fine‑sand beach, a 290‑metre pier and a modern wooden dune promenade. The town remains popular but increasingly crowded during peak season, leading to longer queues and rising prices – a fish sandwich that once cost about €3 now costs at least €4.50.
