Bolu apartment fire caused by unattended stove injures resident

A fire broke out on a night in a four‑storey apartment building on Şenel Street, Tabaklar neighbourhood, Bolu, Turkey. The blaze started on the third floor after a resident fell asleep while cooking, leaving food on the stove.

The resulting smoke caused the resident, identified as T.D., to suffer inhalation injury. Emergency services, including fire, medical, and police teams, were dispatched. Firefighters quickly extinguished the kitchen fire, and residents were evacuated onto the street. Minor damage was reported to the kitchen area. T.D. was taken to Bolu Izzet Baysal State Hospital's emergency unit for treatment and later released.

An eyewitness, neighbor Alparslan Sadıç, recounted assisting T.D. in exiting the apartment and helping secure the building’s gas and electricity supplies while awaiting the responders.
