Manisa worker housing complex experiences second fire in a month

A fire broke out in the Akgedik TOKİ 5th phase worker housing area in Yunusemre district of Manisa, marking the second incident at the site within a month. The blaze started in containers where construction workers were staying, quickly producing thick black smoke that was visible across the city. Numerous fire crews were dispatched to contain the flames and prevent spread to nearby structures. Authorities are conducting a technical investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

The incident follows a previous fire in the same area that caused material damage, raising concerns about safety conditions in the temporary worker accommodations.
