Rize craftsman develops fan-integrated hat for tea pickers
In Rize, Turkey, an electronics craftsman named Salih Küçük has developed a practical cooling solution for tea pickers facing extreme summer heat. Inspired by his wife’s discomfort while working in the fields, Küçük modified traditional fedora hats by integrating a small fan into the front.
To ensure the device is lightweight and efficient, he replaced bulky traditional batteries with rechargeable mobile phone batteries and added a Type-C charging system. The invention includes a small button for easy operation. The device has gained significant interest among local tea producers, with users reporting that a single charge can last between seven and eight hours of continuous use.
