Bolívar state to receive new mining office and high school
Héctor Silva, Venezuela’s Minister of Ecological Mining Development and Basic Industries, has announced the creation of a Miner Assistance Office and the construction of a new high school in the Bosco community. The announcement was made during a working visit to the Sifontes municipality in Bolívar state.
During the visit, which included military authorities and mining sector representatives, officials discussed environmental remediation, technical assistance, and financial support for local mining workers. The government aims to promote organized small-scale mining and strengthen social support in the region.
Additionally, the visit highlighted logistical preparations for upcoming popular consultation processes in Sifontes, involving nine communal territories, 10 electoral centers, and 15 voting tables to ensure participation from mining sectors and communal circuits.
