Bom Princípio do Piauí: Two killed by truck during tire change

Two people, Francisca das Chagas Machado Oliveira and Claudeci Normandia de Oliveira, died on Tuesday night after being struck by a truck in the rural area of Bom Princípio do Piauí. The victims were reportedly changing a tire on the side of the PI-301 highway when the collision occurred.

The truck driver, identified as Wilson Costa Araújo, initially left the scene but was later located and arrested by the Military Police. A breathalyzer test conducted during the encounter indicated a positive result for alcohol consumption. The driver was noted to be showing signs of disorientation at the time of his arrest.
