Bomb scare at Adnkronos headquarters in Rome
Police in Rome’s Trastevere district responded to an abandoned backpack found a few metres from the main entrance of the Adnkronos news agency. The suspicious item triggered a bomb alarm, prompting officers to cordon off the street, evacuate nearby buildings and conduct a controlled inspection.
The investigation revealed that the backpack contained only personal clothing and everyday items, with no explosive material or dangerous devices. The incident, while ultimately harmless, highlighted heightened public anxiety over security threats in the capital and prompted renewed discussion about urban safety measures.
