Bomb threat targets Bhayandar railway station and police station

Security agencies in Maharashtra’s Mumbai Metropolitan Region were placed on high alert following a threatening email warning of bomb attacks at the Bhayandar Railway Station and Bhayandar Police Station. The Mira-Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar Police Headquarters received the message on Wednesday afternoon.

The email, sent under the name “Vaishali Rumde 9802,” included allegations regarding the murder of a woman named Parvati Singh and accused Ujjwala Savarkar and Ananya Savarkar of involvement. The message also claimed that an explosive device had been brought from the United States and planted at the locations.

Police deployed dog squads to conduct security sweeps of the premises. Investigators located and questioned 72-year-old Ujjwala Savarkar, who stated that her mobile phone had been lost. Authorities are currently working to trace the origin of the email and verify the identities of the individuals mentioned to determine if the threat was sent by the named parties or if their identities were misused.
