Bombay High Court halts release of 'Tu Hai Meri Kiran

The Bombay High Court has restrained the release of the psychological thriller 'Tu Hai Meri Kiran', starring Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal. The film was scheduled for release on Friday, October 23, 2026.

The legal intervention follows a financial dispute between co-producers AND Movie Products LLP and Echelon Productions. AND Movie Products LLP filed a plea alleging that Echelon Productions failed to return an investment of ₹8.85 crore made under a co-production agreement signed in March 2024.

Justice Amit Borkar issued the interim order, requiring Echelon Productions to deposit ₹8.85 crore with 15% interest before the film can be released. The court rejected arguments from Echelon Productions that social media promotion of the film constituted consent for its release, noting a distinction between promoting an announcement and waiving contractual rights to investment recovery.
