Bonang Matheba highlights Nigerian fashion at L’Oréal Paris Masterclass

Television presenter and entrepreneur Bonang Matheba highlighted African fashion at the L’Oréal Paris South Africa Makeup Masterclass held on September 19, 2026, at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg. Serving as the master of ceremonies, Matheba wore a custom orange couture gown designed by Makililo Nelson A and crafted by the Nigerian brand Emagine by Bukola.

The gown featured intricate hand-beaded detailing in shades of orange, red, green, and gold, with a structured halter-neck design and a skirt finished with cascading beaded fringe in earthy tones. The designer stated the concept was intended to be “rich, sensual, powerful and unapologetically African.”

Matheba has a history of collaborating with Nigerian designers for major events. Previous notable appearances include wearing custom designs by Sheye Oladejo for Miss Cosmo 2025 and Veekee James for the 2024 Miss South Africa grand finale.
