A 63-year-old man has died following a car crash at Bondi Beach in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. The incident occurred around 1:40 pm at the intersection of Beach Road and Campbell Parade.

Authorities believe the driver suffered a medical episode while operating a white Mazda, causing the vehicle to leave the road and strike the front of the Luca & Luca gelato and matcha bar. While the shopfront sustained damage, no other injuries were reported.

The crash also forced the temporary closure of the neighboring AC FLO barbershop, owned by rugby player Angus Crichton. Traffic in the area was diverted following the accident.
