Bondi Icebergs reopens as The Bergs with HARMON multi‑zone AV system

Bondi Icebergs, the iconic ocean‑pool venue in Sydney, has completed a multi‑stage renovation and relaunched under the new name The Bergs. The upgrade adds new bars, expanded dining areas, upgraded amenities and dedicated function rooms, all designed to support a broader mix of hospitality, events and live entertainment.

A flexible audiovisual system supplied by HARMON (JBL Professional loudspeakers, Crown amplifiers and BSS BLU signal processors) was installed by Showtime Production Services in partnership with MadisonAV. The distributed, multi‑zone audio architecture allows rapid changeovers, with staff able to isolate or combine spaces for different programming needs. General manager Cassie O’Brien said the venue now turns over spaces every few hours, supporting simultaneous functions such as background music, private events with streamed video and live bands. Director Scott Masters highlighted the system’s future‑proofing, operational simplicity and long‑term reliability.
