Bone Regency authorities monitor subsidized fuel queues and distribution loopholes

Authorities in Bone Regency, Indonesia, are monitoring long queues for subsidized fuel at several gas stations. A task force led by the Libureng District Camat, Andi Syafruddin, conducted inspections at the Labombo gas station to ensure orderly service. While queues for both motorcycles and cars have been significant, officials reported that the distribution process remained safe and orderly due to supervision by TNI-Polri and Satpol PP personnel.

Despite these efforts, concerns have been raised regarding potential loopholes in the subsidized fuel distribution system. Reports suggest that some individuals may be bypassing restrictions by using multiple transaction barcodes to purchase fuel at different stations. Additionally, some drivers have reportedly stayed overnight near gas stations to secure supplies. There are also ongoing concerns regarding the prevalence of retail fuel sales, which may involve subsidized fuel diverted from official stations.
