Bonito launches Alerta Lilás booklet to combat violence against women

The City of Bonito, through its Municipal Social Assistance Secretariat (SAS) and the Specialized Social Assistance Reference Center (CREAS), has released the ‘Alerta Lilás’ booklet. This initiative is designed to provide information, guidance, and awareness regarding various forms of violence against women.

The publication includes information on the Maria da Penha Law (Law No. 11,340/2006) and covers psychological, sexual, moral, patrimonial, and physical violence. It also aims to help women, families, and society recognize the cycle of violence, including behaviors that are often normalized, such as humiliation, threats, stalking, blackmail, and the withholding of documents or assets. Additionally, the material addresses vicarious violence and signs that indicate an escalation in abusive behavior to encourage seeking support and protection.
