Bonito shooting investigation targets potential criminal organization

Police in Bonito, Brazil, are investigating a shooting that left two men dead after they were targeted inside a BMW. The attack occurred in the early hours of Saturday on Rua Dr. Conrado, near the intersection with Rua Pilad Rebua.

According to preliminary reports, the victims had just left a commercial establishment and were entering their vehicle when gunmen in another car opened fire. One victim died shortly after arriving at a local hospital in Bonito, while the second victim, who was in critical condition, died during a medical transfer to Campo Grande near Terenos.

Civil Police and forensic experts are working to identify the perpetrators and determine the planning behind the execution. Investigators are also looking into a possible connection between the double homicide and the activities of an ultra-violent criminal organization.
