Bonito to host Tápio 2026 military training exercise

The municipality of Bonito, along with Campo Grande, Aquidauana, Miranda, and Bodoquena in Mato Grosso do Sul, will participate in the Tápio 2026 Joint Operational Exercise. The military training is scheduled to run from August 14 to September 24.

During this period, residents and visitors may observe the movement of troops, vehicles, and aircraft. Local authorities have clarified that the exercise is a planned and controlled activity that does not represent a real emergency, disaster, incident, or threat to the population. The operations are being conducted in coordination with competent agencies to minimize impacts on the local community.
