Bonito woman investigated after dog death at pet resort

A woman has been taken to the Bonito Civil Police station following allegations of animal cruelty at a pet boarding facility known as Peludos Resort. The investigation was triggered by videos circulating on social media and reports sent via WhatsApp showing a woman appearing to strike a dog.

The incident resulted in the death of a Yorkshire Terrier. According to the police report, the woman, who works as a caregiver at the establishment, denied the allegations of abuse. She claimed she was attempting to intervene in a fight between two dogs, specifically stating that an Australian Shepherd had grabbed the smaller Yorkshire. Despite her efforts to separate them, the smaller dog died. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
