Bonn police seek driver after BMW hit-and-run injures seven

Police in Bonn are searching for the driver of a white BMW involved in a hit-and-run incident on September 10, 2026. The incident occurred around 4:00 PM in the Poppelsdorf district on Robert-Koch-Straße.

A white BMW reportedly cut in front of a line 600 bus after failing to turn left as expected. To avoid a collision, the bus driver performed an emergency brake, resulting in a slight contact between the vehicles that damaged the bus's front left bumper.

The abrupt braking caused seven passengers, including an eleven-year-old boy, to fall or strike seats and handrails, resulting in minor injuries. The driver of the BMW fled the scene immediately following the incident. Investigators believe the vehicle may have damage on its right side.
