Bonnie Tyler's Funeral Arrangements Set for August in Wales

British singer Bonnie Tyler, aged 75, died on 8 July 2026 in a hospital in Faro, Portugal, after complications from emergency intestinal surgery. Her family announced that her body will lie at William Pressdee Funeralcare in Mumbles, Wales. The public may line Newton Road from 15:15 BST on 15 August, with the coffin moved to her home at 15:30 BST.

A public “Celebration of Life” will be held at St Mary’s Church (Swansea Minster) on 17 August at 12:00 BST, after which the procession will travel to her hometown of Skewen for a private family service. The family asked mourners to forgo flowers and instead donate to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales and Cerebral Palsy Cymru, charities Tyler supported during her life. Portugal’s parliament also passed a vote of condolence recognizing her musical legacy.
