British singer Bonnie Tyler died on 8 July 2026 at age 75 in a hospital in Portugal after an emergency intestinal surgery. The news sparked a surge in streams of her 1983 hit “Total Eclipse of the Heart”, which already boasts more than 1 billion plays on Spotify and YouTube. In Brazil, the renewed interest highlighted a Portuguese‑language version of the song titled “Tô Tão Mal”, released in 2025 by Priscila Meireles – known as the “Queen of Versions” – together with the duo Edson & Hudson.
